X-TECH GEAR PROJECT | KAYAC

X-TECH GEAR PROJECT was launched to develop outdoor sports gears inspired by advanced technologies featured in the new X-TRAIL.

The gears were unveiled along with the release of the new X-TRAIL.

KAYAC was responsible for developing gears including a helicopter camera that automatically tracks and chases a marker, a snowboard on which LEDs show different animations depending on the move of the snowboard, a goggle that detects obstacles approaching from behind and lets a snowboarder know, and a handle that provides a boarder who is towed by a car with information regarding car operation status.

The professional snowboarder Yuuki Kadono was invited to join as a project member. Under the theme of TOUGH GEAR x TECHNOLOGY, we developed a one-of-a-kind outdoor sports gear.
